From the concept to the project

GIOSETTA FIORONI

Jewish culture has almost always been a source of inspiration for the transcendental and “imaginary” elements in my work. My artistic example was Isaac B. Singer, the talented writer who lived in New York and created a fantastic, insightful body of work. Winner of the Nobel Prize and a great Yiddish storyteller, Singer, who died a number
of years ago, created a real universe for his readers (of whom I am one), a continuous source
of beautiful and unrepeatable images that I have always “consulted” with feeling and extreme pleasure!
Through him I feel I have somehow “taken part” in the Jewish rituals, events and religious festivals and with him I have “built” various elements that are in some way related to this culture.
